Bouncy Baby Boutique- Review & Giveaway!

I was so excited to receive a package from Bouncy Baby Boutique!
I was lucky enough to be able to review this Baltic Amber Teething Necklace.

It came with a cute little bag to store it in, as well as instructions for keeping it clean.

I swear by Amber Teething Necklaces! My oldest daughter was a miserable teether, long sleepless nights, all day crying, nothing would soothe her. The baby has been wearing her necklace and she had 4 molars come through with out a fuss! I am amazed!

How do they work? This is directly off of Bouncy Baby Boutiques website:

BALTIC AMBER HEALING PROPERTIES

Baltic Amber is found in and around the Baltic sea where an ancient species of trees was washed to shore to fossilize and create the unique and healing resin we know as Baltic Amber. What makes Baltic Amber so effective, and the reason we choose to sell only Amber from the Baltic region, is it's high content of succinic acid. Succinic acid is a natural occurring component of Amber and can be as high as 8% in the amber found in the Baltic region. Succinic acid is a natural pain reliever, anti-inflammatory, and a central nervous system calmer. It is so effective on babies and small children because it simultaneously eases their pain while also having a strong soothing effect on their nervous system - all with zero side effects!

Amber is a wholly-organic material derived from the resin of an extinct species of trees and over the ages the resin has hardened into Amber. Amber allows the body to re-balance and heal itself. It treats the throat, stomach, spleen, kidneys, bladder, liver, and gallbladder, alleviates joint problems, and strengthens the mucus membranes. Baltic Amber contains succinic acid and when it is warmed against the skin it releases an all natural analgesic (pain relief) which helps to ease teething pains in children as well as colic and gas and other ailments.

These also work wonders with adults! They help with migraines, arthritis, acid reflux and many, many other ailments. Amber will help calm a baby safely and naturally without resorting to drugs. Used for centuries in Europe, Amber's natural anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties are perfect to soothe teething babies.

The string in each of our baby amber necklaces and bracelets is knotted by hand in between each and every bead, so should the necklace break (which it should if necessary), the rest of the beads will not scatter. The amber teething necklaces and bracelets fasten with a screw clasp that opens and closes easily. The jewelry should be removed while sleeping and parental supervision is recommended at all times.

This necklace fits on both of my girls. I have been finding that my high strung 5 year old seems a bit more calm after wearing the necklace. She loves wearing it! (This is her new forced smile face...)

As, I said earlier, it definitely seems to help with teething pain in my 14 month old. It is not tight on her where I am worried about choking. This is huge considering the first 12 months of life, she was so chubby we were wondering if she truly had a neck under that chin! Doesn't she look adorable in it, too? (Don't mind the yogurt face!)

Bouncy Baby Boutique has lots of different types of Baltic Amber jewelry- some necklaces & some bracelets! They are available in a wide variety of colors, too!

Hair Accessories By Megan- Review & Giveaway!

I had the great pleasure to receive two gorgeous headbands to review. I adore them! They are so pretty!

Here's what I saw when I opened the package.
(You can click on the pictures to see the larger image.)
Pink & Silver Shabby Chic Flowered Headband
Dark Brown and Pink Shabby Chic Flowered Headband

They immediately got put on my 5 year old! I am so in love!

The baby was sleeping...boo! I had to wait until she woke up. Which felt like forever!
(can you stand the cuteness?)

They fit so well on my girls! I have a hard time getting headbands that don't leave red marks on the baby's head. This headband didn't do that at all. I didn't see any red marks on either of them after they had been wearing them for a little while.

Megan has LOTS of cute items for sale in her shop!

Check out this
Shabby Chic Headband Set
(I am in love with all of the colors!)
You can pick your colors and they are available in either 5 or 10 headband sets.

These are very popular right now...Nagorie Feather Headbands. They look so cute as a prop in a professional portrait!

More of The Shabby Chic Flowered Headbands!
I love how the flower & the elastic matches perfectly.

How beautiful is this Rolled Fabric Flower Headband? I can see it matching perfectly with a Christmas outfit.

One of the best parts about Hair Accessories by Megan? She can totally customize anything in the shop. Which was perfect for me. I have a 14 month old with little hair. I would love hair clips but she has little wisps of hair. The stretchy elastic headband is a perfect fit.

Plus, the elastic headbands are available in sizes newborn through adult.
Newborn: 13"
3-6 mos: 14"
6-12 mos: 15"
12-24 mos: 16"
24 mos-Teen: 17"
Adult: 18"
She is also able to customize size to guarantee a perfect fit.

Megan has so graciously offered to give another item away to one lucky fan! Who wants to win this??

The winner will be able to choose the size they want.

Sfeltaccessories Review & Giveaway

I am so very excited to be able to review my first item- A felt bead kit from Sfeltaccessories. Plus, Ann, the owner of Sfeltaccessories has agreed to let me giveaway a kit as well, so you can have fun making this at home.

This is off of Ann's Etsy's profile page:
"I am a designer, a knitter and felter and I hope my unique, original designs bring a modern edge to knitting and felting.
Having studied at Cardiff University I worked as a Textile teacher.
I design and make quality items using wool and felt including unique neckwarmers, collars, necklaces, handbags and handmade felted soaps. I also produce a number of kits to enable people to produce felt items themselves."

I was thrilled to receive my package in the mail from Sfeltaccessories! She package it beautifully and made sure that my item made it unharmed. After opening the box, I found this:

Inside, was EVERYTHING I needed to make the beads. It was all beautifully wrapped.

The felt she included was gorgeous! The pictures do not do them justice. The colors were so vibrant. I almost didn't want to touch them. (Notice the word almost!)

S was just as excited as I was to make these. She wanted the beads for her ever expanding dress-up bin.

Because S, is still younger and has, well, not much of an attention span yet, I started a few of the beads before she woke up:

S, Loved playing with the felt. She loved how soft it was!

We had a blast making these beads. It was also a great learning experience. I think to say that we are beginner felters that we did pretty good:

We currently do not have them stringed...S decided that she was having a lot of fun juggling with them, so when she tires of that then we'll turn it into a necklace. :)

So who wants to win one of these kits???

(not yelling just super excited!)

Halloween!!

I love Halloween! So many fun activities & things to make!!

Sophia is obsessed with everything Hawaiian, so it was so surprise when she said she wanted to be "Hawaiian". I took that to mean "hula girl". So I am in the process of making her costume- flowered headband, anklets, bracelets. I want to make her grass skirt out of 2 colors of tulle but I'm not sure If I will have the time.

I have been agonizing over what to have Camille be. I want them to have themed costumes, (you know, while I can get away with it.) I have a lobster costume, but she looks a boy in it. I really want something girly. So I thought of the perfect costume.. A Flamingo!!

I have all these ideas running through my head. I'm sketching out wings & headpieces. I cannot wait to get home so I can start making it! She is going to look flippin' adorable!

We celebrated Sophia's 4th birthday! (My baby is getting so big!)

And, we welcomed new baby Camille, 7 weeks ago!
She is already getting so big!

I've been thinking of lots of ideas for the blog, so please check back with me soon!
